Hello! I'm Shelby (she/her), a second-year Master's student in McGill's Department of English. My research focuses on the representation of Catholicism - particularly sacraments like confession - in twentieth-century Irish literature. This is my second year at Caret, and I'm excited to continue swapping knowledge with my fellow editors, peer reviewers, and authors!
Hello! I’m Violette (they/she) and I’m a first-year Master’s student in McGill’s Department of English. I’m from Nova Scotia and my research focuses on ecocriticism and the writings of marginalized groups in the Canadian Maritimes. I’m also interested in Francophone Canadian literature. When I’m not reading or writing, I’m usually knitting, cycling, or talking about linguistic rights.
Hello! My name is Megan, and I’m a first year MA at McGill’s department of English. My research leans toward the cultural studies stream, with a focus on experimental film, 20th century Jewishness, and the autobiographical imagination.
Hi! I’m Frédérique (any pronouns), a second-year Master’s student in McGill’s Department of English and Caret’s nonbinary secretary. My research focuses on depictions of Ophelia in contemporary theatre productions of Hamlet and how her character can be recuperated through performance. If I’m not reading, you can find me playing video games or thinking way too much about Shakespeare.
Hi! I am Olivia (she/her), a second-year graduate student in McGill's Department of English. My research interests include experimental poetry, life-writing, and alternative identities. You can find me digging up poetry books on the fifth floor of the McLennan library, looking for pencil annotations, botched ink jobs, dog-ears, and coffee stains.

Hey, I’m Aamna (she/her) a first year MA student at McGill’s department of English. My research focuses on feminist politics, post-colonial studies and questions of identity and resistance.
